Laura's Run

The first “Laura’s Run” in March 2007 was organized by Laura’s family and friends in celebration of her courage and indomitable spirit.  Everyone agreed that it was a fun day of shared remembrances and family-friendly events.  The recurring question was, “Are we going to do this again next year?”  The answer was “Yes!”  So began the annual “Laura’s Run”, which raises funds to support lung transplant patients at St. Joseph Hospital's Norton Thoracic Institute.

Laura's Run

Laura's Run is a 5K course for runners and a 1.5K course for walkers.  In addition, there is a “Kids’ Dash",  and dogs are invited to join runners and walkers for a “Doggie Trot”.  All finishers receive a custom medal, and the top three Run finishers in all age groups are recognized.

Registered runners and walkers receive a “Laura’s Run” Dri-Fit Tech T-shirt, so register early to guarantee your size will be available. Enjoy a complimentary Runners' Brunch, live music by Tod and Ethan, a silent auction, and more.  It's a morning of fun for the whole family!

Arizona Falls

This year, Laura's Run is moving to a new venue at Arizona Falls, Indian School Road at 56th Street in Phoenix.  Arizona Falls, formed by a 20-foot drop along the Arizona Canal, was reopened in 2003 as a restored hydroelectric plant and has since become not only a tourist attraction, but a favorite venue for Valley runners.  The out and back course utilizes running paths along the canal, at the foot of iconic Camelback Mountain.
